Client:Â the property-owners, Revelstoke, BC & the Department of Planning, Building & Bylaw Enforcement
In preparation for the introduction of the planned form-based zoning bylaw with provisions for infill development, the City of Revelstoke wanted to work with a property-owner in the downtown to develop an infill example project. A carriage cottage was proposed for an existing home on MacKenzie Ave. The property owner wanted a garage space for their vehicles with a suite above. The carriage cottage was designed to blend in with the existing heritage character of the area, and included a front porch to provide personal outdoor space, improve the streetscape, and create an interesting facade.
