Project Partners: Mainstreet Concept Associates
Client: City of Revelstoke
Year: 2013 [In Progress]
Public feedback on the City of Revelstoke’s Sign Bylaw and Design Guidelines revealed a poorly understood bylaw. A review of the Bylaw and Design Guidelines showed that the major issue reducing the effectiveness of the Bylaw was a poorly designed document for the Design Guidelines. After a review of the issues, recommendations were presented to the public for comment.
The second phase of this project began by recording and responding to all the public comments, developing further recommendations with a well-developed rationale. A template for a new Design Guideline document layout was presented to the City in early June and the City has expressed its desire to proceed with proposed changes in the fall of 2013.
