Client: The City of Revelstoke & the property owner
Working with the City of Revelstoke, the property owner of the Townley Street property was looking to develop a second phase to an existing development. The design concept for the second phase focussed on developing a design that complimented the existing design, without replicating it. This provides more variety of buildings along Townley Street and helps to break up what would otherwise be a long facade of the same building. Other design considerations include front porches to provide semi-public outdoor space to provide “eyes on the street” and enhance the streets social network. Natural Landscaping and the planting of trees help to soften the built form and create a more pedestrian-friendly street.
